RBSA exists to promote the wonderful activity of sailing and offers private lessons to anyone over the age of 6. Lessons can be scheduled from 9 am to 4 pm on any weekday, holiday or weekend from June 10 through Labor Day. Instruction can be tailored to meet your needs ranging from the fundamentals for beginners to improving intermediate skills for more advanced sailors. Advance reservations are required to ensure availability of instructors as well as the type of boat you want to use. Choices are: Sunfish, Flying Scot (a day sailor), or Hobie Wave (a catamaran).
Private lessons are $200 for a two hour lesson per person for non-members and $120 per a two hour lesson per person for members.

Registration forms can also be dropped off at the club in person starting Memorial Day weekend. Liability release forms must be completed and turned in at the start of classes.
Any student below the age of 18 sailing without their parents or other responsible adult will need a medical liability release form completed and signed by the student(s)’ parent or legal guardian. Click here to download a copy. A signed copy of the release may be emailed to us or handed in separately prior to the start of classes.
Younger students may be required to pass a swim check.
