REHOBOTH
BAY SAILING ASSOCIATION HOSTS YOUTH SAILING
CLINICS FOR DELAWARE NATIONAL GUARD CAMPERS
REHOBOTH
BEACH—Over 70 youth will experience sailing
instruction at clinics held at the Rehoboth Bay Sailing Association August 11
and 12. As part of their summer camp
experience at the Delaware National Guard Youth Camp, these students will
participate in sailing activities in the classroom and on Rehoboth Bay.
The campers are dependents of active and retired
soldiers and airmen from the Delaware National Guard.
The cost of the sailing school clinics is underwritten
by a grant from the Rehoboth Bay Foundation.
The Foundation was created as the charitable arm of the Rehoboth Bay
Sailing Association.
The Rehoboth Bay Sailing Association is a
not-for-profit organization founded in 1962 whose mission is to promote the
sport of sailing on the Rehoboth Bay. Since
then the Association has been teaching sailing and renting sailboats to
Delawareans and resort visitors. RBSA
has four racing fleets—Catalina 25, Sunfish, Hobie and Lightning and plays host
to several prominent regattas each year.
